I lived in Madrid with my friend Shelagh teaching English for a year from the summer of 95 to the summer of 96. This is in front of the main post office (on the right) in Madrid the summer of 1995.

The Puerta de Alcala in Madrid. There are similar monuments at each of the north, south, east, and west entrances of the city.
A monument to the writer Cervantes in the Plaza de Espana. You can see Cervantes seated above two of his most famous characters: Don Quixote and Sancho Panza.
