LSCI 106: ONLINE RESEARCH 1: INTRODUCTION TO ONLINE RESEARCH

RESEARCH QUESTION:

Do Spam laws or techniques help US businesses to retain productivity (profits)?

Spam!  It is more than a lunchmeat.  U.S. businesses lost about US$4 billion in productivity last year because of spam (Lopez, i).  This is a critical question because it has become a growing concern that affects everyone in the world, especially as a global economy.  Indirectly, we could lose the democratic ideal of open access to information in a free society.
