Exam 1 Recovery

Points earned (35 points maximum) from this will be added to your exam score, up to a maximum of 90 points.

Each answer should be in well-developed paragraphs and be about a page (double-spaced).  Describe works in visual terms (line, repetition, etc.) and relate them to broader ideas and tastes.  The purpose of your answers is to demonstrate a grasp of the material presented about each era.  If you only want 10 more points, do a thorough job on one question rather than cursory answers on three questions.

1.      Compare the Kritios Boy to another work of Classical Greek sculpture from Chapter 3.  What traits do they have in common and how do they illustrate the ideas associated with Classical Greek culture? (10 points)

2.      Compare the Pantheon with another example of Ancient Roman architecture from Chapter 4.  What traits do they have in common and how do they relate to the ideas associated with Ancient Roman culture? (10 points)

3.      Compare two works of Early Christian art from Chapter 5.  How do they illustrate or relate to the evolution of Early Christian ideas?  (10 points)

4.      Create a timeline showing the six works you discussed. (5 points)
