What Should Mazie Do?
Mazie is tutoring John in chemistry. At the start one of their regular sessions the conversation goes like this...

- Hi, John!
- John:
- Hi, Mazie.
- Mazie:
- How's it going in chem?
- John:
- Ugh!
- Mazie:
- Yeah, it's a tough course.
- John:
- You bet.
- Mazie:
- Ready to work?
- John:
- I guess.
- Mazie:
- Great. Last time we said that today we'd work on calculating equilibriums. The syllabus says that you should still be in that part of the course. Is that what you're covering?
- John:
- Uh huh.
- Mazie:
- Do you still want to work on that or is there something else that would be helpful?
- John:
- Well, I missed last Monday's lecture, but I xeroxed my friend's lecture notes and I looked at the textbook, so I think I've got it. There's a big problem set due tomorrow, so I thought we could work on that.
