Pescadero State Beach
May 10th



Driving Directions:
Take either 92 West or 84 West to Highway 1.

Turn South (LEFT) Check that the ocean is to your Right and AC/DC is on your sound system. Proceed.
After passing Pomponio State Beach
you will climb a hill, as you come down the hill you will pass sand dunes on your RIGHT and a Lagoon
on your LEFT. You will cross a concrete bridge over Pescadero Creek.
Turn RIGHT into the Parking Lot immediately after crossing the bridge.
If you pass any traffic lights you have gone too far.
Where to Park, and where not to Park.

There are three parking lots all of which give access to and are sign-posted as Pescadero State Beach.

We are meeting at the middle of the three, hence the arrow and big red letters.

Facilities:

One malodorous potty at the parking lot.

 

 

Trail Descriptions:

We shall start by looking at plants of the coastal bluffs (30 mins)

Then we will follow the path back to the bridge before exploring the sand dunes

 Finally we shall cross underneath the bridge to explore the coastal salt marsh.
