Anthrax:
A Primer
Because
anthrax spores have a long shelf-life and can be spread by aerosols,
pulmonary anthrax has long been considered as a means of biological
warfare. An outbreak of anthrax with at least 68 deaths in the
former Soviet Union is now attributed to an explosion at a biological
warfare research facility involving over 20 pounds of anthrax
spores.
