- I'm not sure.
- Mazie:
- Here, let me show you. I learned a great shortcut in Chem 2.
If Mazie does John's chemistry homework for him, she takes away his chance to learn to master chemistry on his own and the opportunity to learn that he can master academic challenges in general. Since a tutor's main goal is to work herself out of a job, John is better served if Mazie finds ways to have John do the work.
